Riya Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel was born and raised in Maryland. She attended University of Maryland, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in general biology in 2017. Following this, she spent two years working as an ophthalmic technician before embarking on her educational journey at Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry. In May of 2023, Dr. Patel successfully earned her Doctorate of Optometry, a milestone complemented by her completion of an Advanced Studies certificate with a focus on the anterior segment of the eye. Throughout her education, she gained valuable clinical experience at various institutions, including the Baltimore VA medical center, private practice, and the Low Vision department at The Eye Institute.

 

Recently, Dr. Patel embarked on a new chapter by getting married and relocating to South Jersey. When not engaged in her professional pursuits, she finds joy in spending quality time with her family and indulging her passion for travel.
