Gregory H. Scimeca, M.D. has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Lourdes Hospital and has performed thousands of ophthalmic surgeries and procedures. He has dedicated his practice to cataract and laser refractive surgeries. He currently practices in Moorestown, Willingboro, and Millville, NJ as well as Langhorne, PA.
After completing his undergraduate study in chemistry at Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Scimeca received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He subsequently completed a pre-residency fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Scimeca then completed his ophthalmology residency at Temple Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is a board-certified diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Scimeca has distinguished himself both academically and in clinical affiliations. He has served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Scimeca’s numerous original ophthalmology research papers have been published in major journals. He is also a contributing author to a widely used textbook in ophthalmology.
Dr. Scimeca has a practice that has been established for over a quarter of a century. He presents continuing education courses to train other physicians and updates them regularly on the latest technology. He has been continuously lauded as the top ophthalmologist in the South Jersey area, by both his colleagues and patients alike.
Like his father and grandfather before him, Dr. Scimeca is dedicated to the vision care of every patient. He sincerely believes in delivering the finest in patient care. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
