Happy New Year | Our Year in Review
2017 has been a busy year for us at Burlington County Eye Physicians. We continue to provide the best in cataract surgery, vision correction, routine eye exams and comprehensive eye care to our communities located throughout the area at our six offices.
Here’s a look at our year in review and some news about the practice.
Premium Cataract Surgery
We continue to be one of the region’s leading practices offering cataract surgery. Not only has our medical director, Dr. Gregory Scimeca, performed tens of thousands of cataract operations, but so has our talented staff at our surgical center. This experience allows us to have the most reliable and predictable outcomes with our patients requiring cataract surgery and other procedures such as LASIK..
We are proud of the excellence in eye care we are able to offer our patients in Willingboro, Langhorne, Millville, Moorestown and Newtown.
Symfony IOL Top of Class
We introduced the Symfony IOL for many of our patients requiring cataract surgery and who suffer from near vision loss due to presbyopia. The Symfony IOL was FDA approved in 2016 and has fast become the mainstay of treatment for many of our patients who wish to see both distance and near … without glasses.
The technology of the implant gives continuous range of vision between near objects and distance and with better optics. The Symfony IOL has fewer visual aberrations (glare, halos, etc.) compared to other intraocular lenses.
The results and quality of vision provided with the Symfony intraocular implant continue to impress us.
LASIK | Glasses Free Vision Correction
Vision correction procedures continue to restore vision in so many of our patients interested in changing their life by getting rid of their glasses.
Vision correction, such as LASIK, has improved the lives of so many of our patients who enjoy the outdoors, have an active lifestyle, play sports or who simply want improved vision.
Dr. Scimeca and our staff remain the area’s busiest providers of vision correction procedures, such as LASIK.
Lumiere Med Spa
We now offer medical spa services at our Moorestown Office. “Lumiere Med Spa” offers cosmetic services such as fat reduction, Botox, wrinkle treatment, hair removal for our patients interested in reclaiming their youthful appearance.

January is national Glaucoma Awareness month. We’ll be posting timely articles on this preventable cause of blindness which affects millions in the U.S. alone.
